Open-eyed Nightmares

Letting it all fade away

Like a ghost in the past

Wanting to forget it all

And turn it into a hazy night

Too much went on

Too many sad things

Things that I want to forget

So I don’t wake up screaming into the night

It’s all just too much

The weight of it all

Seems to crush me
