Out In The Cold

June 24, 2010

I was happy to be spending time with Haven today.  And I knew that i would smile frequently today just because of her. Upon reaching the door, I looked out a window to see the sky gray and gloomy. Oh well, it won’t affect me today.   I walked, almost skipped, to meet Haven outside her house.  As the wind blew it reminded me of my last day as a human. I stood still as the though crossed my mind. No, no pain today, just a numbing sensation. I shook it off as I caught a glimpse of Haven.  Today she was wearing a dark blue jeans, fuzzy black boots, a well fitted black winter coat, and her hair down and straight. Why the coat? It feels nice today. “Aren’t you cold?” she asked as I stepped across the street toward her. Cold, what cold? It feels kind of warm if not just normal. “It’s freezing out here. Come inside before your arms freeze off.” That’s odd. I mean how could she seem so cold and the earth seem so cold, but I feel none of it?
